It’s not often you get to work on a brief that could change the world: but Centaur Robotics just might.
“The Centaur” is a wheelchair prototype, taking accessibility to new heights by allowing users to adjust theirs. Elevating the engineering of existing models, The Centaur gives wheelchair users the freedom to reach shelves and slot under shorter surfaces independently. They aimed to roll out their product to the public by early 2025 – but first, they needed a website.
This project pushed us to innovate as our client had. So, we started this project by brushing up on our Blender skills, where our lead designer animated a 3D model to glide across a website and brand video. Our developers then created a custom website, mirroring the product’s fluidity with a clever UI. As you scroll, the Centaur travels across the screen before text pans into place. This site gave users control, letting them interact through movement: just like The Centaur itself.
